Tae Won Yu is a musician and visual artist who moved from New York City to Olympia in 1992, after his band Kicking Giant performed at the International Pop Underground Conference the previous year. While living in Olympia, Tae continued to perform and record with Kicking Giant and his solo project The KG. He designed innumerable concert and event flyers, as well as album covers for The Halo Benders, Built To Spill, Harvey Danger, Mirah, Nomy Lamm, and Dub Narcotic Sound System. Tae Won Yu moved to New York City in 2002, where he works in publishing and continues to design album covers, flyers and books (including the bestselling Antiquarian Sticker Book series). He occasionally reunites with Rachel Carns for Kicking Giant performances.
