Jon Merithew

Olympia musician

Jon Merithew moved to Olympia with his family as a child and had a desire to perform music as far back as he can recall. His first “proper” band The Noses started in 1985 when the members were in their early teens and performed at virtually every performance space in town until they broke up in 1996. Subsequently, Jon played guitar in the bands ONETON, Mosquito Hawk and notably, C Average, who received national attention following a series of performances collaborating with Eddie Vedder. Today, Jon Merithew is a city bus driver and continues to perform with the bands Chance of Ghosts and Blues Fairies.
