Ryan Von Bargen

Ryan Von Bargen was born and raised in Olympia and has performed in a long list of Olympia’s heaviest bands, starting in 1987 with Young Lions while attending Tumwater High School. Through the years, he was immersed in the underground metal and hardcore scenes, performing and attending concerts in a host of the city’s bygone informal venues, living rooms and clubs. At one point in the mid-90s, he was in the seminal bands Death Squad, pod., and Fitz of Depression at the same time, all sharing stages with the adjacent indie pop scene. Ryan currently lives in Centralia, WA, works in Olympia at Washington State's government television channel TVW, and occasionally performs with The Stuntmen.
