Mirah Yomtov Zeitlyn is a musician and songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York. Raised primarily in the Philadelphia area, Mirah moved to Olympia in 1992 to attend The Evergreen State College. Her first EP Storageland was released on Yoyo Recordings in 1997. Her early records were primarily recorded at the Dub Narcotic studio space. Around 1997-1998 Mirah assisted with the Secret Cafe at the Track House and then with roommates helped host the Red Horse Cafe out of their apartment, which became a local gathering spot. She has released a number of albums on K Records, including You Think It’s Like This but Really It’s Like This in 2000 and Advisory Committee in 2002. Mirah moved to Portland, Oregon in 2004 and then to Brooklyn, New York in 2013, where she lives with her partner and their son.
