Sarah Utter

Sarah Utter is a musician, visual artist, and graphic designer. Born in Vancouver, WA, Sarah and her family moved to Olympia when she was 2 years old. After volunteering as a photographer for the first YoYo A Go Go festival in 1994, Sarah played guitar briefly in Skylab with Pat Maley, and went on to form bands including Plastique and Bangs. She put out a number of releases on Kill Rock Stars and K Records, and did album design and other various art assignments for both labels. She also designs merchandise for online retailer buyolympia.com, including the ever-popular Reading is Sexy t-shirt. Sarah resides in Olympia today, where she paints, plays guitar, and continues to work on graphic design projects.
