Jon Brogger is a Tumwater kid who performed in the bands Young Sunday, Bad Atoms, Cool Guys, and Hollywood Kill Krew. Jon is a cultural documentarian and taper who immersed himself in the Olympia music scene during his teens. In the 1990s and into the 2000s, he shot countless hours of Hi8 and VHS footage of local and touring bands, including Built to Spill, Unwound, Dub Narcotic Sound System, Nation of Ulysses, the Breeders, and Fugazi. His is some of the only known footage of dozens of short-lived formal venues such as Arrowspace and the North Shore Surf Club, as well as bygone underground venues like Praxis and The Lucky 7 House. In 2024, Jon began posting some of this footage on his YouTube channel, TapeWorld. Jon works and lives in Olympia with his wife and their French Bulldog Feta.
