Bratmobile

Bratmobile was formed in 1991 by Allison Wolfe and Molly Neuman in Eugene, OR while they were students at The University of Oregon. Their song "Girl Germs" (also the name of their influential zine) was the first track on the Kill Rock Stars compilation. Shortly after forming, the group added guitarist Erin Smith. They relocated to Washington, DC, while keeping a strong collection with Olympia, nurturing the developing riot grrrl movement in solidarity with their west coast comrades. The group disbanded in 1994, reuniting in 1999-2003 and recording two additional albums. The group's influence has been widespread and timeless, and they have continued to reunite for tours and engagements since 2019.
